I have been with the For You Network since its inception; before this I belonged to another networking organization. My lesson about networking are be open to everyone and willing to listen. Ideas will flow when you are in the company of women who share and support each other. This particularly has inspired me to ‘hang around’ and keep on doing what I’m doing for networking.

I have made so many fantastic connections with our members since we started the network that many are now like family, I have also done business with many of our members and look forward to doing more with othere as well as meeting lots of our new members.

For You does offer lots of opportunities and because I am a member of For You and NAFE many opportunities are sent to me that I am also able to share with our members like being a nominee on the LA Business Journals Women who make a difference.

Its all about SHOWING UP and in ASKING for what one wants as our members are there to support each other

Networking has worked wonders for me because it gives you the opportunity to not only meet people, but also have them become friends. Being acquainted with their products/services also helps me, to connect them with those I know that have need of their services. The For You Network has been one of the best networking groups I’ve belonged to because it affords the opportunity to make authentic connections with others.

I have met some great and powerful women in networking. I belong to the For You Network which is a division of the National Association of Female Executives. I met my mentor Robbie Motter at the For You Network Connections and once you have paid your yearly dues you can attend any one of the 19 Connections which give you a wide area of dynamic women. I was nominated for the Have a Heart event that FYN puts on every year and honors their own. I also belong to the American Business Women’s Association which honors fantastic women. As Robbie Motter says it is all about Showing Up and Asking for what you want. Sheila A Caruso

I moved from France to California 7 years ago and started my photography business 2 years later. Almost all of my relationships have been initiated through networking meetings. I am glad I SHOWED UP as Robbie Motter always says because I have close friends now in my new life and that’s precious!

I have been on the San Fernando Valley Connection board for one year now along with my business partner Laurie Gaynes-Basile. Our company is “Working Women’s Retirement Strategies”, so there is no better place for us to be but around so many wonderful professional women.
Business is all about people, and the only way to meet people and connect on a personal and professional level is by being part of networking organizations.
Although we have been a part of various networking groups, For You Network allows us to reach the group that we have selected to direct our focus on.

Great feedback everyone — may I suggest to sign your comments also with your business website address so everyone knows what you have to offer. We might as well take advantage of ’shameless’ marketing strategies. Gisella Thomas

For You Network, has been invaluable to me! I have developed personal lasting friendships that I would not have found otherwise. I also feel that FYN has helped me to develop skills for my professional career as well. I am confident, my speaking skills have been developed, and I feel FYN has helped me to build relationships with people. Yes, networking is important but getting to really KNOW people and helping them and caring about them rather than JUST being there for getting busines is what life is all about.

Know the person you want to connect with on a personal level first. When they know you’re interested in them, the relationship will build and they will shiare your information with others. Stop the “conveyor belt” routine of collecting as many business cards as you can. Go for quality and not “quantity.” People buy from others who they trust, and you can’t put a price tag on that.

The first time I walked into a FYN meeting I did not know what to think a group of lady with all kind of businesses. I was so new at the game but I was willing to listen to see how to better myself. I was shocked to see so many ladies that had wrote their first book like myself I felt so good to had something to talk about and did not felt out of place. The opportunities that are out there for me and the fantastic connection and friends I met in just one night. I never had been a member of any group so I know that this would be the first for me and now so many years later I enjoy all the friends I had made. It made me grow up in so many way at first I was a new girl on the block and now I hear my name and it has a nice ring to it. I am glad I shown up

Through For You Network I have found a place to serve other women and to learn new things, beyond my wildest dreams. Our members are a great bunch of professional women willing to share their knowledge and mentor others. Thanks!
