Meet Michelle Pinedo

Michelle Pinedo is founder and CEO of MP Urban Marketing since 2004. The genesis of this marketing firm was generated by Pinedo’s vast knowledge of the Latino community and her ability to establish relationships at a grassroots level with key community leaders, schools, and youth in Latino communities. 

MP’s client list include Coca-Cola, Cadbury, Schweppes, The Los Angeles Dodgers, Rodri Entertainment, Universal Music, Macy’s, Novamex and Pollo Campero.  With Ms. Pinedo’s enthusiasm, expertise, and passion, her center of attention is on networking and establishing a grassroots approach to prepare companies that want to target and serve the Latino market. 

Ms. Pinedo is a motivational speaker, speaking out against gang violence.  She has recently established MARC, a youth empowerment curriculum for at risk youth. Recommended by Gloria Molina, she is an appointed commissioner for the County of Los Angeles Commission for Women and sits on the Mariachi USA Foundation Board.

Ms. Pinedo’s background is highlighted with being the co-founder of a youth empowerment program, the East Los Angeles Youth Leadership Council at the age of sixteen, a summer internship with the National Council of La Raza in Washington D.C., and an internship with Congressman Xavier Becerra, both while at college. She has been recognized by Rocky Delgadillo, Gloria Molina, James Hahn, and various community organizations such as the East Los Angeles Boys and Girls Club and has been featured in local newspapers and television such as La Opinion and ABC’s “Beating the Odds” segment, for her outstanding dedication and valued contributions to the Latino community.

Ms. Pinedo is a graduate of Occidental College where she served as Vice President of Finance, and was a recipient of the James Irvine Scholarship.

Ms. Pinedo currently resides in East Los Angeles where she was raised.
